Comics appeal to all learners of all ages. They are fun and easy to read and can be used to easily get people's attention, introduce science topics, and convey complex information. Using comic strips in science education is another way of making the topics interesting, relevant, and meaningful.

ISAAA Inc. together with the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Biotech Program (DA Biotech) launched BioteKomiks, a comic strip-making contest that is focused on the theme "The Wonders of Pinoy Biotek." BioteKomiks aims to capture artists' perspectives on the impact of Pinoy Biotek on the country's agriculture and fisheries through a four-panel comic strip.

Who can join BioteKomiks?
Filipino cartoonists are all welcome to join BioteKomiks! The contest is open to all Filipino Nationals, except for the ISAAA Inc. and DA Biotech staff and their immediate family members (parent, spouse, child, or sibling).
