Public Perception of Agri-biotech Today

Researchers from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and partners conducted a survey of agri-biotech stakeholders to understand their perceptions of modern biotechnology. The key findings of the study will be presented in an onsite seminar titled Public Perception of Agri-biotech Today, which will be held on March 30, 2-4 PM at REDREC, UPLB. Attendance to the seminar is open to all.

16th ISBR Symposium: Limited Late Call for Poster Abstracts

All oral presentation slots for ISBR2023 have been filled but limited POSTER slots are still available. We have therefore decided to open a LIMITED LATE CALL for POSTER abstracts to give delegates one final opportunity to present their work at ISBR2023.

Due to the tight timelines, abstracts will be evaluated as they come in and authors will be notified within a day or two if their abstract has been accepted or not.

Interested authors must prepare their abstract on the ISBR2023 abstract template and submit it no later than Monday, 13 February 2023, at the LATE POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SITE. Please note that authors must first register/create a user profile for ISBR2023 before they can submit an abstract. Presenting authors whose abstracts were accepted must register no later than Friday, 17 February 2023. Please also refer to the instructions for poster presenters.

Space is limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. So, don’t delay and miss out on this opportunity to participate in ISBR2023!

Nuts and Bolts of U.S. Regulatory Dossiers for Genetically Engineered Products

The workshop is an opportunity for small and large companies, academics, and other potential developers to learn from USDA-APHIS, EPA, and FDA officials about the specifics of putting together actual dossiers for regulatory review – based on real case studies. By focusing on actual case studies that recently went through the review process the workshop is designed to simplify and demystify data requirements and regulatory dossiers. Case studies to be presented:

New this year, the workshop will also include a panel discussion with regulators and sessions about international regulations, genetically engineered microbes, and bioengineered products labeling requirements.

The upcoming edition of the conference, scheduled for September 22-27, 2024, will be organised by the Centre for Crop & Food Innovation & WA State Agricultural Biotechnology Centre, Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia.
