Bayer CropScience and KWS SAAT to Co-Develop Herbicide Tolerant Sugar Beet

Bayer CropScience and KWS SAAT signed an agreement to co-develop and commercialize an herbicide tolerant sugar beet for the global market. The new plant will create more opportunities for farmers, by making sugar beet cultivation easier and more environmentally friendly.
Dr. Peter Hofman, head of Sugar Beet Division at KWS SAAT said that the development of the new sugar beet will be available to farmers in a couple of years.
