EC JRC Issues Summary Notifications

The European Commission - Joint Research Centre announced the application of the Universidad de Malaga for the production of transgenic trees with greater biomass in Spain. The notification involves release to the environment, field studies, environmental impact and risk assessment.
Pioneer Hi-Bred Seeds Agro SRL gave notification for the deliberate release of genetically modified (GM) DAS-59122-7 maize for use in field trials in Romania. The same company also gave notification for the deliberate release of GM DAS-59122-7x DAS-Ø15Ø7-1xMON-ØØ6Ø3-6 maize for use in field trials in Romania.
