Peru Now Part of ISAAA Global Biotech Information Network

The Peruvian Association for the Development of Biotechnology (PeruBiotec) and the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA) have signed a Letter of Agreement to officially include PeruBiotec as a member of ISAAA's global network of Biotechnology Information Centers (BICs) located in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. PeruBiotec wil, among others, serve as a point of contact for biotechnology and biosafety communication and information activities in Peru and other neighboring countries.
Dr. Alexander Grobman, President of PeruBiotec, said that their group is a not-for-profit organization established in 2007 to foster the development of biotechnology.
