Enright: Talk More about Biotech to the Public

Biotechnology is well-accepted when used in the fields of health and environment, but not yet in the field of agriculture, said Cathleen Enright, executive vice president for Food and Agriculture at the Biotechnology Industry Organization, during a bioindustry summit in North Dakota, U.S.

Enright stressed the importance of dialogues on applications and benefits of agricultural biotechnology. "If I can leave you with any point today, it's as we go forward in advancing technologies, talk about them. Make time to talk about what they are, why you use them and how they will help us," she said.
