New Seed Variety Unveiled in Kenya

The Agricultural Development Corporation in Kenya, in collaboration with Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) has unveiled a new maize seed variety, named KH600-2, a disease resistant hybrid that is suitable for high altitude areas. The seed was developed after Kenya was plagued by a maize necrosis disease which affected more than 10,000 acres of maize plantations in the country.
