
The 11th Asian Maize Conference

The 11th Asian Maize Conference will be held in Nanning, China on November 11, 2011. The event with the theme Addressing Climate Change Effect and Meeting Maize Demand for Asia is co-organized by the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Minority Autonomous Region, P. R. China, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), and the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). Scientists and maize production specialists of all disciplines, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and seed industries are invited to participate. Topics in the Conference will include: trends for maize in Asia, breeding and biotechnology for maize improvement, maize in cropping system of Asia, abiotic and biotic stresses, value-added maize, and maize seed production and supply.
