Handbook on Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture

December 21, 2011

The Handbook on Climate Change and Agriculture edited by Ariel Dinar, director of the Water Science and Policy Center at the University of California, Riverside and Robert Mendelsohn of Yale University has been recently published. The book with contributions from international experts covers various topics on climate change that include direct agronomic effects, economic impacts on agriculture, agricultural impacts on the economy, agricultural mitigation, and farmer adaptation.

Dinar opined that this is the first book to use a multidisciplinary approach in providing up-to-date information about the impact of climate change on agriculture. The handbook would be helpful in assessing and exploring the impacts of climate change on agriculture and agriculture's ability to adapt.
