GM Approval Updates

September 8, 2016 Australia and New Zealand approved the maize event MON87419 (stacked HT) for food use.
August 31, 2016 Taiwan approved the cotton event 81910 (stacked HT) for food use.
August 24, 2016 South Korea approved the soybean event MON87751 (IR) for food use.
August 12, 2016 Brazil approved the herbicide tolerant  soybean events FG72, FG72 x A5547-127 and DAS44406-6, as well as the maize events(stacked HT), DAS40278 x NK603 (stacked HT) and 5307 x MIR604 x BT11 x TC1507 x GA 21 x MIR 162 (HT + IR) for commercial use in late 2015.
August 12, 2016 Brazil approved the maize event MON89034 x TC1507 x NK603 x DAS40278 (HT + IR) for commercial use.
July 29, 2016 Malaysia approved the maize event 59122 (HT + IR) and the soybean event SYHTOH2 (stacked HT) for food and feed use.
July 28, 2016 In March 2016, Japan approved the cotton events COT102 x MON15985 x MON88913 x MON88701 (HT + IR) and 281-24-236 x 3006-210-23 x COT102 x 81910 (HT + IR), as well as the 
maize event MON89034 x TC1507 x NK603 x MIR162 x DAS40278 (HT + IR) for Type 1 cultivation.
July 28, 2016 In June 2016, Japan approved the maize events GA21 x T25 (stacked HT) and 3272 x Bt11 x MIR604 x TC1507 x 5307 x GA21 (HT + IR + PQ) for Type 1 cultivation.
July 28, 2016 In February 2016, Japan approved the maize event MON87427 x MON89034 x MIR162 x NK603 and the alfalfa event KK179 x J101 (HT + PQ) for Type 1 cultivation.
July 28, 2016 Australia and New Zealand approved the maize event MZIR098 (HT + IR) for food use.
July 27, 2016 The European Union approved the soybean events FG72 (stacked HT) and MON87705 x MON89788 (HT + PQ) for food and feed use. 
July 21, 2016 Australia approved seven GM argentine canola stacked events for commercial use last March. These events are HCN28 x MON88302 (HT), HCN92 x MON88302 (HT),  RF1 x MON88302 (HT + PC), RF2 x MON88302 (HT + PC), MON88302 x RF3 (HT + PC), MS1 x MON88302 (HT + PC) and MS8 x MON88302 (HT + PC). 
July 21, 2016 South Korea approved the stacked maize event Bt11 x TC1507 x GA21 (HT + IR) for food and feed use.
July 19, 2016 Taiwan has approved the new soybean stacked event DAS81419 x DAS44406 for food use. This new event is herbicide tolerant and insect resistant.
June 20, 2016 Taiwan has approved the maize event Bt11 x TC1507 x GA21 (HT x IR) for food use.
June 17, 2016 Indonesia has approved the maize event MON87427 (HT) for food use.
June 16, 2016 Canada has approved the maize event MZHG0JG (HT) for food, feed, and planting use. 
May 19, 2016 The argentine canola event 73496 (HT) as well as a new soybean event, FG72 x A5547-127 (HT), has been approved in Taiwan for food use.
May 19, 2016 Malaysia has approved the following maize events for food and feed use: Agrisure® Duracade™ (IR), Agrisure™ RW (IR), Agrisure™ Viptera (IR), Roundup Ready™ Maize (HT) and Enogen™ (PQ). 
May 11, 2016 Taiwan has approved a new stacked maize event MON87427 x MON89034 x MIR162 x NK603 (HT + IR) for food use.
