Donor
Support Group
ISAAA
is funded by fixed-term commitments through a donor support group composed
of a balanced representation of public and private sector institutions.
No core funding is being mobilized, allowing full flexibility for changes
in future directions without encumbering donor communities with long-term
and less flexible core commitments. The fixed-term funding strategy
exposes the program to regular and effective peer review when accessing
competitive international funding. The donor support group, with equitable
distribution from North America, Europe, and the Asian Pacific Rim,
will be comprised of approximately 12 private foundations, 12 bilateral/multilateral
agencies, and 12 private sector corporations. An early tangible expression
of support is demonstrated by a number of significant grants awarded
to ISAAA from the following donors/groups:
