GM Canola

Source: Canola-council
Canola is a genetic variation of rapeseed and was developed by Canadian plant breeders specifically for its nutritional qualities, particularly its low level of saturated fat. Canola is grown primarily in regions of Western Canada, with some acreage being planted in Ontario and the Pacific northwest, north central and southeast United States. Canola is also grown in other countries including Europe and Australia.

Canola has been modified to contain traits such as Herbicide-tolerance, High-laurate content, and High oleic acid content.
