Spanish Gov't: GM Maize is More Environment Friendly than Conventional
Spain, one of the European countries which favors genetically modified (GM) crops, has further strengthened its support to the agricultural technology as the country's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment claims that transgenic maize is more environment friendly than the conventional maize crops.

Deputy Alejandro Alonso further explained that the ministry is working on a new draft of royal decree on the coexistence of GM crops, conventional, and organic crops.
