Global Conference on Women in Agriculture

"Global Conference on Women in Agriculture" will be organized by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research and APAARI jointly with GFAR, IDRC, FAO, TAAS and RAGA from 13-15 March 2012 at New Delhi, India. About 300 delegates from different parts of the world consisting of researchers, academicians and development agencies and NGOs are expected to participate in the conference. Participants may contribute papers relevant to one or more themes of the conference.

The three-day program aims to focus on assessing women's empowerment in agriculture; agricultural innovations for reducing drudgery; linking women to markets; role of women in household food and nutritional security; access to assets, resources and knowledge: policies and services; and impact and responses to climate change related risks and uncertainties.
