Vilsack Appoints Members to Advisory Committee on Biotech and 21st Century Agriculture

U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the appointments to the reactivated Advisory Committee on Biotechnology and 21st Century Agriculture (AC21). The AC21 is comprised of 22 members from 16 states. They represent the biotech industry, organic food industry, farming communities, seed industry, food manufacturers, state government, consumer and community development groups, the medical profession, and academic researchers. Russell Redding of Delaware Valley College will serve as the Chair of AC21. Appointees will serve for one to two years, and may be reappointed to serve up to six years.
