Research and Development Expansion in Indianapolis

Dow AgroSciences is set to invest in more than $340 million and offer more than 550 new scientific and commercial jobs in the next five years. The first phase in the plan is the construction of a research and development building and greenhouse on its Indianapolis campus. These facilities will be used to develop and commercialize new products in agricultural and related market segments.

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels welcomed the expansion saying that it "makes Indiana a true world capital of agricultural science." Earlier, Dow AgroSciences obtained a lease on a research facility near its corporate headquarters in Indianapolis and the establishment of a research program at the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana.

The company press release is available at  http://www.dowagro.com/newsroom/corporatenews/2010/20100304a.htm
