Pakistan to Intensify Cotton Seed Yield

The Federal Seed Certification Registration Department in Pakistan reported that the Ministry of Textile Industry has been facilitating the availability of quality seed, and has already certified 17,791.25 MT of seeds to intensify cotton yield in the country. This is only 44.8 percent of the total seed requirement of 40,000 MT, the report said. The National Biosafety Committee of the Ministry of Climate Change based in Islamabad has also cleared 28 varieties of cotton seed for commercialization in the country.
