FSANZ Calls for Comments to Allow Food Derived from GM Canola

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Chief Executive Officer Steve McCutcheon invites submission of comments on the application of Monsanto Australia to allow food derived from a GM canola tolerant to glyphosate. The agency safety assessment found no risk ro human health or safety concerns and that food from this canola line is as safe for human consumption as food derived from conventional canola. Submission of comments is welcome till September 27, 2012.
